NAMM 2020 Video: Reverb puts Klon Centaur and Lovetone Big Cheese on one pedalboard

NAMM 2020: To coincide with the announcement of its forthcoming feature-length film on the history of guitar pedals and how they’ve influenced today’s boom, Reverb showcased a vast array of killer vintage pedals at its NAMM 2020 booth.

The effects on show ranged from vintage Maestros and the original Fuzz Face, in the process charting the origins and evolutions of the humble effects pedal.

The pedalboard we had the chance to deo represents the boutique boom in the mid-1990s which included some of the most revered stompboxes on the modern market. Think an original Klon Centaur, a Red Llama from Way Huge under Jeorge Tripps’ tutelage before the company partnered with Dunlop, plus offerings from Analog Man, Lovetone and Paul Cochrane.

The pedalboard is running through Milkman Sound’s The Amp.

The Pedal Movie, Reverb’s first-ever feature-length film, will dive into the culture of pedals and tell the story of how a small industry grew from a handful of companies into the galaxy of different makers building pedals today.
