Fender Duo Sonic HS Electric Guitar

Launched in 1956, the Fender Duo-Sonic found its way into the hands of genre-defining artists, becoming an underground sensation in the dingy clubs of New York. Despite the 60 year old design, its slick style and unique sound is perfectly at home in modern music. Somewhat similar in appearance to the Mustang, and like the Mustang it has been the choice of adventurous musicians that dig Fender style, but want something a little different than a Tele or a Strat. The Duo-Sonic’s downsized alder body and 24” scale length make it comfortable for smaller players or those who enjoy jumping around a lot on stage. This HS version has a humbucker in the bridge position, with coil tapping to make it a single coil. This provides versatility for everything from bright, jangly arpeggios to heavy chords and screaming leads, controlled with master volume and tone controls, along with a three-way pickup switch. The comfortable C-shaped maple neck is ideal for players with smaller hands, or those who use extended chord forms.
