Guitalele

Im a guitar player that fell in with a Saturday morning Ukulele group. Its a lot of fun and something the wife and I do together, but now Im wondering about a guitalele, has anyone got one or at least familar with one. I see Yamaha has a GL-1 for under a $100. Any comments on what looks to be an interesting take on this style of guitar.
