Born at North York General Hospital in North York, Ontario, Canada on the twenty-ninth day of May, 1986. Grew up in Ajax, Ontario, Canada. Married to Amanda since the twelfth of October, 2008, been living in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada since.
Started playing guitar in the summer of 1998, after being inspired by a neighbor who's lawn I was cutting. I used my Father's gear for the first several years of playing, a 1965 Fender Jaguar and 1970 Fender Deluxe Reverb, both of which he acquired in a private sale sometime in 1982. After learning some classic rock standards, I added a no-name "Distortion" pedal between the guitar and the amplifier, and took a step into the hard rock side of things. Eventually, I treated myself to a Digitech RP2000 multi-effects pedal, which I acquired second-hand from the aforementioned inspirational lawn cutting customer. In a music class, towards the end of 10th grade, a fellow student treated us to John Petrucci's "Rock Discipline" over the last couple of classes, which just simply blew my head apart. From then on, I became obsessed with his playing ability and the equipment he used to create that silky lead tone. I can't say as I'll ever attain John's level of technical proficiency, however, in July of 2006, depressed after receiving a traffic ticket, I went straight to Long & McQuade and ordered myself an Ernie Ball/Music Man John Petrucci signature 7-string model, loaded with all the goodies and the Mystic Dream colour changing paint finish. The following October, I returned to said Long & McQuade store and completed my ultra modern rig by ordering myself a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier Roadster 2 x 12" combo and 2 x 12" horizontal extension cabinet, both of which were outfitted with Mesa's exquisite flamed maple cabinetry and translucent black finish. Unfortunately, in August of 2008, I had to give up these two pieces of gear, that I ultimately could not afford to begin with, in order to finance a house. I may be back to playing my original equipment now, but I still feel happiness and fulfillment whenever I play.
