From left to right: B50C, B100C, B25C

If you’re in the market for a bass amp, check out the new Acoustic Classic Series. The line-up comprises three affordable, no-nonsense combos that suit all types of players, whether you’re woodshedding at home or a seasoned gig musician.

All three models—the B25C, B50C and B100C—share the same DNA. They have robust EQ sections, high headroom, a tilt-back cabinet design and, interestingly, a built-in blendable overdrive section for more grit and growl. Here are the finer details:

B25C

It may be the smallest of the trio, but the B25C is no pushover. The 25-watt combo has a single eight-inch ferrite speaker, a three-band EQ, and a “Shape” button that cuts out your middle frequencies—great for slapping and popping. The I/Os on the B25C are just as uncomplicated: It has an 1/8-inch aux input and an 1/8-inch headphone output.

The B25C lists for $99.99.

B50C

This bigger 50-watt combo gives you more versatility. It’s ideal for anything between practice sessions and small-venue performances. With a single ten-inch ferrite speaker, the B50C also excels as a powered monitor for a stage where space is not a luxury. Most of its features are similar to its smaller cousin, with the exception of an additional “Low Mid” control. And, like the B25C, this amp has an 1/8-inch aux input and an 1/8-inch headphone output.

The B50C lists for $169.99.

B100C

The B100C is for serious business, with enough features to roll with the big boys. Unlike the other two, this 1×12-inch combo has an additional “High Mid” EQ parameter and a “Frequency Notch” control. The latter does what its name suggests, notching out frequencies between 60Hz and 5kHz.

The I/Os on the B100C are also geared towards live use. There’s a direct XLR out with a level control to go straight to the board—you can choose to send that direct signal either before or after the EQ section—as well as an effects loop. And you can also hook up a footswitch to engage the overdrive.

The B100C lists for $249.99.
