Dean ML Patents Pending Classic Black

Not many of us are lucky enough to have access to an original Dean guitar from the ’70s. But with the new Dean USA Patents Pending series, that’s about to change. The company is replicating a few of its legendary instruments from its pioneering days, and the first out of the blocks is the USA ML, the guitar that forged metal music as we know it today.

The USA ML Patents Pending Classic Black is furnished with many of the components and circuitries that you’ll find on an original 1977 ML. From the original electronics cavity routes to its dimensions to the oversized headstock, almost every element on the guitar is as faithful to its forebear as possible. It even has the same “Patents Pending” stamp on the back of the headstock.

A pair of DiMarzio Super Distortion humbuckers, mahogany body, vintage reissue Grover tuners and hand-rolled neck binding for that quintessential ‘broken-in’ feel are the other period-accurate elements on the axe.

The USA ML Patents Pending Classic Black lists for $2,999. For more information, check out deanguitars.com.
