NAMM 2020: One of the biggest announcements of this year’s show was Gibson’s massive overhaul of its Epiphone line-up and we got front row seats to check it out.

Don’t fret if you missed all the action. We swung by Epiphone‘s booth and managed to snap pictures of most of the new offerings. The most notable release had to be the Inspired By Gibson instruments, which feature the new, larger headstock shape. We also took the opportunity to check out Epiphone’s Original Collection as well as a few Custom Shop Historic and Artist Collection models.

Scroll down for a closer look:

Inspired by Gibson collection

First up, of course, is the much-talked about Inspired by Gibson collection. As mentioned earlier, these guitars feature the new ‘Kalamazoo’ headstock design. This was originally used on instruments made for the Gibson budget brand of the same name in the 30s. Seen here are a range of models, including Les Paul Moderns, Les Paul Specials, SG Classics, SG Customs and more.

Epiphone Original Collection

While the Inspired By Gibson collection stole the limelight, Epiphone’s Original Collection made quite a bit of noise, too. The highlight of this collection has to be the Texan acoustic guitar that is once again being made in the USA.

Custom Shop Historic & Artist Collection

We also chanced upon a few Custom Shop Historic and Artist Collection models while exploring Epiphone’s booth. Seen here are a 1957 SJ 200, 1960 Hummingbird ADJ Saddle, and an ultra-sleek Lizzy Hale Explorer.
