A rarity, dated between 1830 to 1840, from Martin’s founder, Christian Frederick Martin Sr.
Presentation models such as this were used to show the high level of craftsmanship of the maker – in this case Martin’s founder, Christian Frederick Martin Sr. This lovely guitar features an ivory fingerboard and bridge, and came to Martin via Scott Chinery’s vintage collection.
