Fender’s flexible hybrid design arrived on the scene in early 2019 and the American Acoustasonic Telecaster has since found favour with all manner of players, from looper-toting singer-songwriters to a certain Mr Jack White.

From day one, Fender teased the aesthetic possibilites of the Acoustasonic platform, and this gorgeous model features in the limited-edition Exotic Series that debuted at Summer NAMM in Nashville in July. Ziricote and cocobolo options are also available (all £3,499), but our favourite is this koa-top model with korina back, sides and neck. While the beautifully figured neck’s satin urethane finish retains the tactile, organic feel of the original model, the gloss-finished body adds a taste of luxury to the mix and helps give that outrageous bookmatched top a vivid, three-dimensional quality.

All the clever internal tech remains present and correct, and if you fancy an upscale version of this most modern of Telecasters, head to fender.com for more information.
