Through his work as a solo aritist and previous stints with The Bros Landreth, Ariel Posen has earned a reputation as one of the world’s hottest electric slide guitar players. We recently met up with slide virtuoso at That Pedal Show headquarters to talk all things slide guitar.

From his early days as a slide guitar player to the benefits of open tuning and using slide guitars in a live context, it’s all here. Elsewhere we talk about his killer new Strat-style guitar, the steel baritone built by Mule Resophonic Guitars, aptly named the Posencaster.

Ariel recently teamed up with the brains behind Hudson Electronics to develop his new signature pedal, a variation on the company’s increasingly popular Broadcast preamp, the Broadcast-AP. Read more on the development of the pedal here.

Ariel’s latest album, How Long, is out now.
