Every month, we compile a list of announcements, releases, and rumours from amp and speaker makers big and small. Here are our favourites from the past month.
For Misha Mansoor’s second signature amp, Peavey has opted to go with a smaller version of the Invective.120: a 20-watt head loaded with EL84 power tubes, shaped by three 12AX7 preamp tubes.
Jimmy Page Sundragon
Jimmy Page’s new amplifier, the Sundragon, was created as part of festivities for Led Zeppelin 1’s 50th anniversary. The hand-built unit is a faithful recreation of the model Page exclusively used on the iconic album.

The FRFR-108, billed as the perfect companion for both guitar and bass amp modellers, is a more portable version of HeadRush’s 112 model. Even at just 8.6kg, it manages to handle a 2,000 watts of amplified sound, and is equipped with full-range, flat-frequency specs.
Supro Blues King 12
Supros Blues King 12 is a 15-watter built for classic British tones. It’s loaded with a single-ended, Class A tube power amp, a 6L6 power amp tube, a 12AX7 preamp tube, and footswitchable gain and boost modes.
Blackstar Studio 10 6L6
The Studio 10 6L6, from Blackstar’s new Studio 10 line, is built for American-inspired cleans and grainy lead tones. Besides its 6L6 power tube, the amp also features a built-in overdrive circuit modelled after the brand’s popular HT-Drive pedal for added tweakability.
Blackstar JJN-20RH MkII
This one’s a limited-edition Jared James Nichols signature model built to recreate the bluesman’s unique drive tones. The OD channel of the amp features a Nichols-inspired Bluespower voicing as well as a three-band EQ and Blackstar’s patented ISF component.
Victory V140 The Super Duchess
The V140 The Super Duchess is a single-channel, 100-watt, all-valve amp inspired by the brand’s V40 Deluxe. It features a pair of 6L6 power tubes that cater for a larger headroom, and a long-tank, valve-driven spring reverb for large and deep ’verb effects.

Dubbed as the “first-of-its-kind tube amp command centre”, the Waza Tube Amp Expander has plenty of functions that afford flexibility: variable reactive load box, active analogue power stage, mic’ed cab simulator, IR loader and recording interface.
Orange Pedal Baby 100
As its name suggests, the Orange Pedal Baby 100 is built for seamless integration with pedalboards, modellers and digital processors. Its 100-watt class A/B design provides the dynamics, punch and natural sounds that are absent in most digital modellers.
