Boss WAZA Tube Amp Expander

Hot on the heels of the success of Universal Audio’s OX last year, Boss has launched the WAZA Tube Amp Expander – a device that aims to enhance the tube-amp experience by giving players more flexibility by combining a variable reactive-load box, active analogue power stage, mic’d cab simulator, IR loader and recording interface – all in one road-ready enclosure.

Audient Sono

In a move that will no doubt please recording guitarists on a budget, British interface and console maker Audient has teamed up with Two Notes Audio Engineering to create the Sono – an all-in-one digital guitar interface that offers valve tone courtesy of a built-in preamp valve, plus amp/cab sims, re-amping and more. With all that for just £419,
it promises a huge amount of studio-guitar quality for a very reasonable outlay.

Peterson StroboStomp HD

For over 70 years, Peterson’s Strobe tuners have earned a well-deserved reputation for precision accuracy in tuning, and the new StroboStomp HD makes it easier than ever to use, with a large high-def colour LED backlit display. Add true and buffered bypass, 100 sweetened tunings, support for a variety of instruments and USB connectivity, and the StroboStomp HD is a complete package.

Electro-Harmonix guitar strings

EHX Strings Feature

The venerable NY effects maker has ventured into guitar strings. The wound strings are constructed from high-carbon, hexagonal steel cores that are precision-wrapped by round nickel-plated steel; the unwound strings use the same core material. “[They’ll] please the most discerning guitar players. They’re long-lasting and deliver lightning-fast playability with great tone and intonation,” says EHX founder Mike Matthews.

Mono M80 Classic Jumbo Acoustic Case

Mono’s M80 range of extremely rugged and reliable instrument cases have become a staple for musicians in recent years, and now owners of jumbo-sized acoustic guitars can enjoy the same level of protection. Protective innovations onboard include the firm’s patented Headlock design and ‘Sharkskin’ protective shell, plus high-density foam bumpers to improve drop protection, and a lifetime warranty.
