Every month, we compile a list of announcements, releases and rumors from amp and speaker makers big and small. Here are our favorites from the past month.
Mesa Boogie Fillmore 50
Mesa Boogie’s new line of guitar amps harks back to the brand’s earliest ever models. The first out of the blocks, the Fillmore 50, is a two-channel tube amp—with a full-tank spring reverb—that’s voiced for classic rock.
Mooer Preamp Live
It’s more a stompbox than amplifier, but Mooer’s Preamp Live is worth mentioning here. Twelve independent channels, each assignable to more than 50 amp models, including raucous American-style amps to creamy British ones.
Benson Vincent 30
This 30-watt tube amp packs a Vinny 1 Watt power amp circuit within its preamp section to yield grinding distortion at any level.
Hotone Loudster
The Loudster is a diminutive, stompbox-sized power amplifier that provides 75 watts of power at the tips of your toes. Ideal for traveling guitarists—all you need to do is plug it into a cabinet.
