Mr Moto is the latest stompbox out of J Rockett Audio Design’s corner, and it offers tremolo and spring reverb effects in one pedal. Shoegazers and Dick Dale devotees ought to sit up and take notice of this one.
The pedal features four control knobs: “Depth,” “Speed,” “Wave” and “Verb.” The former two are self-explanatory. The “Wave” knob manages the tremolo effect, going from smooth and subtle triangle wave, to choppy and dramatic square wave, and all the shades in-between.
On the other hand, the “Verb” knob controls the amount of reverb in the mix. It’s a lush, warm spring reverb that, when blended together with the tremolo, is handy if you’re trying to emulate a vintage Fender amp.
Mr Moto retails for $199. More information at rockettpedals.com.
