Alice Cooper’s Nita Strauss gets signature DiMarzio pickups
Rock-ready humbuckers that bear Strauss-approved modifications.
Not to be outdone by her former bandmate’s new signature axe, Nita Strauss has earned herself new signature pickups.
The former guitarist of The Iron Maidens and current member of Alice Cooper’s band has worked with DiMarzio to release the Pandemonium. The humbuckers are, as you’d expect, designed for the screaming solos and rich power chords of heavy metal.
The Pandemonium Neck is designed to create “clean, open mids with sweet highs and lows,” while the bridge pickup boasts “a big voice that covers a lot of ground,” according to DiMarzio. Ceramic magnets and four-conductor wiring are the other specs of the units—they open you up to a “Brave New World” of coil-splitting and wiring mods should you wish to play with madness. (Sorry, we just had to do that.)
And last but certainly not least, the pickups are finished off with an eye-catching, all-black ‘grille’ aesthetic that makes them look as imposing as they sound.
