Billy Cardigan, host of YouTube’s Effects & Pedals Arena Corner, has written and illustrated his first-ever children’s book on collecting guitar gear – it’s titled My Daddy Has 100 Pedals.

The book’s plot involves a father showing off and explaining to his child the wondrous pedals that make up his extensive gear collection. Written in the style of Dr. Seuss, the book collects a number of humorous references to music and pedal collecting culture.

Cardigan – who is also a part of the eclectic performance art group Shy Boyz – shared a few excerpts from his new book in a Facebook post. See it below:

While My Daddy Has 100 Pedals is Cardigan’s first book on guitar pedals geared towards children – it isn’t his first piece of literary work on the subject. He’s also penned Obtuse Chambers, a collection of short stories centred around guitar pedals.

My Daddy Has 100 Pedals is available for pre-order now at $15 a copy, and ships in mid-February. Pick up a copy yourself at shyboyz.bandcamp.com
