Boss has unveiled a new accessory that combines a tuner and a metronome in one package: the TU-03.

The device has five tuning modes: chromatic, guitar, bass, ukulele and violin. Flat and double-flat tunings are supported, with the reference pitch adjustable from 430 to 450 Hz. There’s even a built-in speaker to sound the reference pitch.

But you’d probably find that speaker more useful for hearing the clicks on the TU-03’s metronome portion. Eight patterns, ten beat variations and an adjustable tempo of 30 to 250 BPM give you enough range and flexibility. And if you don’t want clicks, the TU-03 can also operate silently, using the backlit, not-glare display as a reference monitor.
