Boss has unveiled the DC-2W Dimension C and MT-2W Metal Zone pedals, two new stompboxes in its premium Waza Craft line of offerings.

Like the other models in this collection, these pedals feature the brand’s classic analog designs—with a few upgrades and premium appointments. Here’s a rundown of their key features:

DC-2W Dimension C

This pedal merges two iconic effects from the ’80s: the Boss DC-2 Dimension C stompbox and the Roland SDD-320 Dimension D rack unit.

The four-button interface of the DC-2 remains on this Waza model, but its two modes now offer a total of 20 preset sounds, culled from the legendary lavender box and the Roland unit.

According to Boss, “the Dimension’s unique spatial processing magically enhances the width and depth of any sound, from electric and acoustic guitars to keyboards, vocals, and other sources.”

MT-2W Metal Zone

The MT-2W is Boss’ revival of its MT-2 Metal Zone, a pedal that has polarized guitarists since its release in 1991. With the new iteration, the brand claims to have infused the stompbox with “Waza Craft mojo,” resulting in “new levels of tonal range and versatility.”

While the MT-2W closely resembles its predecessor, Boss says it has been refined. It now sports a “Custom” mode, which is built for high-gain tones with greater dynamics and a tighter low end—better for detuned riffs. Even the “Standard” mode, which delivers the classic Metal Zone tone, has been tweaked for more definition and clarity.

The DC-2W and MT-2W retail for $339 and $189, respectively. More information at boss.info.
