Cort Guitars has released the GB54P electric bass, a new member to the GB family. This axe is modelled after a vintage Precision Bass, but comes with modern appointments.
The GB54P sports an alder body and an ergonomic bolt-on neck crafted from hard maple. It also has a jatoba fingerboard shaped in a vintage 9.45-inch radius for better playability.
In terms of electronics, the GB54P is fitted with a vintage VTB-P pickup governed by one volume pot and one tone pot. The pup can produce warm, punchy and driven bass tones that are sustained by a sturdy vintage-style bridge.
Die-cast tuners and chrome hardware round off this classy P-style outfit.
The GB54P is available in two finishes: Two-tone Sunburst and Sea Foam Pearl Green.
Retails at $379. More information at cortguitars.com.
