Cort expands GB series with GB54P bass

A vintage P-style bass with modern appointments.

Cort GB54P

Cort Guitars has unveiled the GB54P electric bass as the newest member of its GB series. The four-string is modelled after a vintage Precision Bass, but is outfitted with a few modern specs.

The GB54P features an alder body and an ergonomic bolt-on neck crafted from hard maple. It also sports a vintage-inspired 9.45-inch radius jatoba fingerboard that caters to both single-note lines and chording.

In terms of electronics, the GB54P has a vintage-voiced VTB-P pickup governed by one volume pot and one tone pot. The pup can produce warm, punchy and driven bass tones that are sustained by a sturdy vintage-style bridge.

The GB54P is available in two finishes: Two-tone Sunburst and Sea Foam Pearl Green.

Retails at $379. More information at cortguitars.com.
