Cort has introduced a new Les Paul-inspired guitar, and it presents old-school appointments at an affordable price point.

Dubbed the CR300, this axe has a classic single-cutaway mahogany body with a 0.6-inch-thick maple top. It’s also got a mahogany set neck with a 22-fret jatoba fingerboard. This tonewood complements the Aged Vintage Burst finish perfectly, giving the guitar the beautiful warm aesthetic of a yesteryear instrument.

On the electronics front, the CR300 employs two EMG Retro Active Fat 55 humbuckers that provide the original PAF feel. If you’re looking for the Chuck Berry or Ritchie Valens vibes, these pups will deliver. Think fat and warm lows with a clear high end. Controls are straightforward, with a classic two-volume, two-tone control and a three-way pickup selector.

A Tune-o-matic bridge with a stop tailpiece and vintage-style machine heads round out the throwback experience.

The CR300 lists for $799. More information at cortguitars.com.
