NAMM 2020: D’Addario has announced a new collection of accessories for 2020, including the new Backline Gear Transport Pack and LokNob series.

Backline Gear Transport Pack

The Backline Gear Transport Pack is designed to both eliminate the need for multiple storage bags for equipment and provide a means of organisation.

The lower pocket can store both standard quarter-inch cables and larger XLR cables. Dividers are included but can be removed to accommodate longer leads.

The middle compartment is divided into front and rear sections. The latter contains a microphone-filing system that can hold three standard-sized mics, like a Shure SM58. There’s also a larger interior pocket designed for bigger units such as wireless mics. Meanwhile, the front pocket features smaller sleeves that can accommodate miscellaneous accessories like spare strings and small tools.

Larger accessories like effects pedals, DI boxes and power strips can be stored in the top pocket, which has an upper and lower shelf. The latter comes with another set of dividers that can also be removed to accommodate larger units. Another set of interior sleeves is also included for more miscellaneous accessories. Additional compartments and features can be found along the sides and back of the Backline Gear Transport Pack, as well as a bottle opener that’s secured to the front of the left shoulder strap.

Update: Today (18 February 2020) D’Addario has announced that the Backline is available to preorder now. For more info, head over to daddario.com.

LokNob

The D’Addario LokNob series comprises the LokNob Standard, Pro, Brake Pad and Tour Cap. With the exception of the Tour Cap, the LokNob is designed to be fitted to guitars, amps and effects pedals to prevent the accidental movement of controls.

It uses a ratcheting system that increases resistance, though adjustments can still be made by clicking the knob forward/backward or lifting it for larger sweeps. Conversely, the Tour Cap is designed to be installed over a footswitch of an effects pedal to prevent accidental triggers.

The Backline is available to preorder now, listing for $325. The D’Addario LokNob series is now available for between $1.99 and $15.99. For more information, head to daddario.com.
