NAMM 2020: D’Angelico has debuted two new guitars – the Excel Mini DC and Premier Mini DC, both undersized double-cutaway semi-hollows that offer guitarists total control over their instrument.

The Excel Mini DC is the younger, smaller sibling of the crowd-favourite DC and measures 14 inches across its body’s width. The smaller body increases the punchiness of the tone while retaining the semi-hollow’s characteristic warmth, both of which are captured beautifully by a pair of Seymour Duncan 59 humbuckers.

Users can unlock the Excel Mini DC’s spectrum of tones and flavours through the guitar’s coil-splitting push-pull tone knob. Another highlight is the guitar’s slim C-shape neck profile which allows for easy navigation across the entire fingerboard. The Excel Mini DC is available in three colours: Black, Trans Cherry and Vintage Natural.

Meanwhile, the Premier Mini DC features a design similar to the Excel Mini DC, characterised by its 14-inch body width, slim C-shape neck profile and sleek headstock design. The Premier Mini DC comes loaded with a pair of Duncan Designed humbuckers wired to a standard two-volume, two-tone control layout and three-way pickup selector switch. The Premier Mini DC comes in three vibrant colours: Ocean Turquoise, Champagne and Fiesta Red.
