D’Angelico is expanding its Premier Series yet again, this time with a diminutive acoustic guitar. The Premier Utica is a 3/4-sized dreadnought, available in four models, that can accompany you on your most far-flung adventures.

All models have a scale length of 22.8 inches, with a body width of 12.375 inches and depth of 3.2 by four inches. They’re handsome 19-fret guitars, with 14-inch-radius, bound ovangkol fretboards, and player-friendly “C”-shaped necks. But where the four models differ is in their tonewoods.

Pick between solid spruce, solid mahogany or laminated koa soundboards. They all have laminated mahogany backs and sides, but the koa edition has laminated koa sides instead. And there’s a second mahogany option, whose arched laminated mahogany back adds resonance that “far surpasses what you might expect from its smaller body shape,” according to D’Angelico.

The Premier Utica models list from $399 to $499. For more info, check out dangelicoguitars.com.
