They’re guitars you’ll want to bring home to your mother—Epiphone’s trio of new, clean-cut signature axes come in various hues of white. Yes, even though they’re for the guitarists of heavy-as-hell bands KISS, Trivium and In Flames.

Inspired by his “White Lightning” Les Paul, the new signature axe for the KISS guitarist comes in Metallic White—with a matching headstock, no less—and a chrome pickguard. Looks aside, the all-mahogany Explorer is equipped with the Seymour Duncan JB humbuckers you’ll find in the Les Paul.

The Tommy Thayer “White Lightning” Explorer retails for $899.

It takes its design cues from Trivium’s Silence in the Snow record, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that the new Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom gleams with a glossy Alpine White finish and white phenolic fretboard. Even the EMG 81 and 85 pickups come in custom white. The guitar is available in either six- or seven-string versions.

The Matt Heafy “SnØfall” Les Paul Custom retails for $899 (six-string) and $949 (seven-string).

The In Flames guitarist’s second signature Les Paul Custom looks like an inverse of his first. Instead of an Ebony finish, the “Jotun”—the name refers to the giants of Norse mythology—has a Bone White one. The gold hardware remains, as do the EMG MetalWorks active pickups and ebony fretboard. And as a quirky touch, Epiphone installed a bottle opener on the back of the guitar, just in case you need to chug a few cold ones during practice.

The Björn Gelotte “Jotun” Les Paul Custom retails for $899.
