Android users, rejoice: Eventide has finally released the Android version of its H9 Control app after announcing it at Winter NAMM 2018. Which means you can use your phone or tablet as a remote control—via Bluetooth or USB—for the H9 Harmonizer multi-effects unit.

The H9 Harmonizer, which debuted in 2013, packs in pitch-shifting, delay, distortion, reverb, chorus and modulation effects. The H9 Control app grants you access to more than 500 effects presets, lets you control parameters, and create your own algorithms, which are essentially chains of multiple effects. You can even buy these algorithms from the Eventide store. All these presets and algorithms can then be loaded onto the Harmonizer.

The app also pairs with other stompboxes in the H9 family, letting you tweak your tone from your Android device. Other features of the H9 Control include tweaking MIDI settings, routing and aux switch maps. Just be sure that you’ve upgraded to Android 6.0 or later versions.

The H9 Control App can be downloaded for free via the Eventide website or Google Play.
