Foo Fighters to return to the stage for virtual concert at the Roxy

Tickets are up for grabs now.

The Foo Fighters will be returning to the stage this weekend for a virtual concert in celebration of their latest single, Shame Shame.

The event is slated to livestream from the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles this Saturday, 14 November from 5pm PST (1am GMT). Tickets to the event are on sale now at $15 apiece; ticket purchasers will be able to replay the full show for 48 hours from its start.

Part of the show’s proceeds will be directed to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund – which supports musicians and other industry workers – facing illness, disability, or age-related problems – with financial assistance.

Shame Shame is the lead single of the Foo Fighters’ upcoming album, Medicine At Midnight. A music video for the song was launched yesterday (10 November), described by frontman Dave Grohl as “a bit darker than anything we’ve ever done.”

“It’s crazy, the idea for that video came from a dream I had when I was when 14 or 15 that I’ve remembered my entire life,” Grohl told NME.

“I was standing at the bottom of this hill and there was this coffin on fire next to this dead tree and I ran up the hill to rescue whoever was in this coffin, but I couldn’t get my hands on it because it was on fire!”

“I stood there filled with anxiety and fear, but I’ve remembered it my entire fucking life and never knew what it meant.”

While Foo Fighters fan will have to wait until next February to get their hands on the band’s latest record, they can expect it to be a “Saturday night party album,” at least according to Grohl.

“It was written and sequenced in a way that you put on,” he explained. “and nine songs later you’ll just put it on again.”
