Find out more about José González’s intimate brand of indie folk from the guitarist himself when he swings by Singapore for an exclusive live Q&A session with Guitar.com.

The Swedish-Argentinian artist will perform in the city on 11 July, with singer-songwriter Charlie Lim opening the show. Right before the gig, the two guitarists will bare their influences, inspirations and, of course, gear at a Q&A event for 20 lucky fans. To join us at the session, all you need to do is purchase a ticket to the concert and take part in a simple competition. Winners will be notified by 10 July.

Over the decades, González has explored everything from hardcore to indie rock to electronic music. But he’s best known for the hushed, autumnal indie pop of his three full-length albums, defined by his deft fingerstyle work on the nylon-string guitar (he plays Córdoba, Esteve and Alhambra guitars).

On the other side of the globe, Lim has earned himself a loyal following in Asia and Australia with his ever-shifting style. Where his debut EP was indebted to Bon Iver and Jeff Buckley, his following albums Time/Space and Check-Hook ventured into electronic music, alt-R&B and neo-soul.
