One of Europe’s biggest guitar shows, the Guitar Summit, is back for 2019. Heading into its third edition, the three-day affair – held from 27 to 29 September 2019 – will see over 450 exhibitors and more than 100 workshops congregate at Germany’s Mannheim Rosengarten. Apart from the massive gear display, the show will also feature masterclasses helmed by guitar heroes Paul Gilbert and Billy Sheehan of Mr. Big.

As part of the Guitar Summit Academy programme, the Mr. Big duo will conduct small group sessions covering techniques, songwriting, recording as well as marketing. Other speakers drafted in for masterclasses include German blues ace Henrik Freischlader as well as vintage instrument connoisseur Udo Pipper.

Apart from the masterclasses, there’s a whole list of activities attendees can take part in. From DIY sessions – where you can learn to build tube amps, pedals and guitars – to ukulele workshops to even yoga sessions.

And what’s a guitar show without performances? There’ll be two main concerts held during the show: an electric performance on Friday and an acoustic one on Saturday. Gilbert and Sheehan are tipped to make an appearance on the second night.

Tickets to the Guitar Summit are available for presale at €20 (one-day ticket) or €30 (three-day ticket). More info at guitarsummit.de.
