The first full-capacity gigs in New York City post-lockdown have been announced. Across 22-23 Jun, the Beacon Theatre will be host to two acoustic sets from Phish frontman Trey Anastasio. Adults in the audience will need to be vaccinated, and those under 16 will require proof of a negative COVID-19 test and be accompanied by a vaccinated adult.

Each evening will see a maximum 2,700 fans attend, over a year after effectively all concerts in the city were postponed or cancelled, save for some socially distanced exceptions.

As well as proof of vaccination, attendees at the Anastasio concerts will need to have been vaccinated at least 14 days prior to the shows with either a second dose of the Pfizer-BioNtech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine or a single dose of Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 vaccine.

Children under the age of 16 will be required to provide proof of a negative antigen COVID-19 test, negative PCR COVID-19 test or full vaccination, as well as being accompanied by a vaccinated adult.

The concerts follow the release of Lonely Trip, the 11th solo studio album from Anastasio. It was released on 31 July last year, having been recorded during the early stages of the pandemic.
