The UK Bass Guitar Show has been delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The event was due to take place on 28 and 29 March, but will now take place at a later date, yet to be announced.

In a Facebook statement about the rescheduling of the show, organisers Gold Media and Events said: “Ladies & Gentleman, it is with great regret that we have to announce that The UK Bass Guitar Show will be postponed to a later date.

“With the ongoing and present concerns of COVID-19, we have to put our guests, exhibitors, artists and team’s health and safety first following further announcements this evening. New dates for The UK Bass Guitar Show are presently being discussed and will be announced shortly.”

Artists that were due to make an appearance at the show include Billy Sheehan, Laurence Cottle, Yolanda Charles, Peter Hook and more.

The North East Guitar Show, which was planned for 15 March, has also been rescheduled. The show will now take place on 14 June instead. Earlier this month it was announced that Musikmesse, the largest music instrument trade show in Europe, had also been postponed due to the virus. Many other music events have also been affected, including Coachella, SXSW and even Glastonbury.
