Faith Guitars has recently unveiled the PJE Legacy FG5 ‘Dark Roast’ Earth as the latest addition to their PJE catalogue. The new OM-shaped acoustic guitar is the second model to be given the Legacy ‘Earth’ body shape.

The Dark Roast features a solid African Mahogany body, with the top having undergone a ‘torrefaction’ process via roasting. This extracts any lingering moisture in the tonewood and results in a stronger and more stable material, improving acoustic resonance. The new guitar also features luxurious ebony fittings, like its binding, bridge, fingerboard and pickguard.

In terms of electronics, the  Dark Roast has a  Fishman Flex-T system, which incorporates an under saddle piezo along with a condenser mic.

Tonally, the Dark Roast is reported to produce smooth bass notes, pronounced mids and a high-headroom treble range.

Available now and retails for £1,399 with a hard case. More information at faithguitars.com.
