Fender unleashes 2018 Limited Edition Jaguar Strat
Take a walk on the wild side with Fender’s new addition to its Parallel Universe collection.

Fender has unveiled the latest entrant to its Parallel Universe line-up and this time, it’s a Jaguar-Strat hybrid.
Simply dubbed the Jaguar Strat, this axe features Jaguar appointments on a Strat body. If this sounds a little familiar, that’s because Fender employed a similar formula on its recent Whiteguard Strat, which featured Tele trimmings on a Strat body.
This new hybrid uses a triple pup configuration. Where regular Jaguars feature two single-coils, this one features three vintage-style Jaguar pickups. Like you would expect, these are as trebly and aggressive as they get. To manage these pups, the guitar features a complex network of controls:
First of all, it features a five-way pickup selector that toggles between the three pickups. Next, it has master “Volume” and “Tone” knobs that provide basic tone-shaping capability. And saving the best for last, Fender has integrated a special switching system on the Jaguar Strat’s upper horn that allows you to tinker with pup selection, and manage bridge pickup tone.
Elsewhere, the new axe features a classic alder Strat body, modern “Deep C” maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and a Jazzmaster/Jaguar bridge with vintage-style floating tremolo.
