Fulltone has made incremental tweaks to its popular OCD since the overdrive pedal’s debut over a decade ago. But they were never aesthetic changes—until now. In collaboration with Chicago Music Exchange, the brand has launched a new, limited-edition colorway for the OCD V2.

The design features a sleek, devilishly handsome black chassis with white knobs, which you’ll notice is the reverse of the color scheme on the original dirt box.

Otherwise, this stompbox is identical to the reboot that Fulltone launched last year. Highlights include an output buffer and a Class A JFET input section. The former ensures tone consistency regardless of your signal chain complexity. The latter, meanwhile, improves dynamics through an increase in impedance. This results in better interaction with single-coil and humbucker pickups.

The Fulltone OCD V2 CME Exclusive Limited Edition Black lists for $159, and is only available from Chicago Music Exchange. More information at chicagomusicexchange.com.
