Adam Jones signature Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul model – reported to be in the works since this June – hasn’t yet been officially announced, but already, pre-order listings of the Tool guitarist’s new signature model have been popping up online.

Two Reverb.com listings have revealed that the signature guitar will come in two editions, both limited to a small production run. The non-aged one was listed at $9,995 and was alleged to be limited to 150 units, while a special aged and signed one was offered at $12,999 and was alleged to be limited to just 79 units. At press time, both listings have already sold.

The guitars are based on the 1979 Silverburst Les Paul Custom which Jones has used throughout his work with Tool. It appears to ship with a certificate of authenticity, and even the detachable ornamental mirror which Jones adorned the original guitar’s headstock with.

Earlier this October, Jones took to Instagram to give fans a look at the hard case that will accompany the upcoming signature model. He wrote: “A custom signature guitar needs a custom signature case.”

In other Tool news, vocalist Maynard James Keenan this month (9 October) opened up on his experiences contracting and beating COVID-19, saying that he’s still “dealing with the residual side effects” from the disease, which includes lung damage.
