Gibson has launched the Bats In Flight Les Paul Custom, a solid-body guitar in an eye-catching purple burst, exclusive to Guitar Center.

The limited model features standard Les Paul Custom fare, with a few stylistic flairs added in. A solid mahogany body sports a quilted maple top, double-stained for a black-to-purple burst.

The guitar is loaded with two CustomBucker pickups, with independent tone and volume controls for each. The three-piece C-shaped maple neck features 22 vintage-style frets, and a 12-inch-radius ebony fretboard with bat inlays. The guitar has a 24.75-inch scale length, and a Les Paul tune-o-matic hardtail bridge.

The guitar is an addition to Guitar Center’s Platinum Collection, which features a host of limited and one-off guitars, from both the major guitar companies and independent luthiers.

The Bats In Flight Les Paul Custom lists for $7,999. More information at guitarcenter.com.
