NAMM 2021: Boss has unveiled a set of new pedalboards in the BCB series, along with a new range of low-profile patch cables and MIDI cables.

BCB-1000

This large pedalboard features a suitcase-style case design, while still meeting “most carry-on requirements.” Its interior features an aluminium mounting surface with cable management slots and room for two rows of standard-sized pedals, and can house a power supply underneath this surface. Audio is routed through a junction box integrated into the pedalboard itself, allowing for instrument input as well as mono or stereo outputs.

The aluminium frame can be removed entirely from the unit itself for easier customisation and a cleaner look, or left in the bottom part of the case for convenience.

BCB-90X

Featuring rugged case design with an integrated carry handle, this sports a foam insert to fit 9 standard Boss pedals, alongside a blank insert to cut for custom layouts. There are cable channels underneath the foam, as well as an integrated junction box and power supply.

BCB-30X

A smaller version of the BCB-90X aimed at those who need a more compact rig, this ‘board comes with a pre-cut foam insert to house three regular Boss pedals, as well as a blank to cut your own. The compact size means the BCB-30X does not have an integrated power supply or junction box.

Boss Cables

Alongside these, Boss has also revamped its range of cables. The BPC-4 is a pancake-style patch cable with two angled jacks, running at 4 inches /10c. The brand has also launched the BCK range – solderless cable kits that allow you to cut 2, 6, 12 or 24 patch cables to length depending on the size of kit. Other offerings include more standard TS and TRS audio cables, as well as midi-midi cables and midi-TRS cables.
