UPDATE (1 June): Statements from Boutique Amps Distribution employees on social media have noted that, while the extent of the damage is not clear, they are hearing that the blaze mainly avoided the brand’s main warehouse and manufacturing facility. However, water damage and other factors could still impact the business. The full scope of the damage is yet to be assessed.

Boutique Amps Distribution’s facility in Huntington Park, Los Angeles, has been affected by a fire. The centre was both a manufacturing facility and a warehouse, home to amps and effects brands Friedman Amplification, Wampler, Soldano, Egnator, Diezel, Matthews Effects, Tone King, Bogner and Morgan.

According to the LA County Fire Department, a call came in at 8:30 PM last night (31 May). The blaze was upgraded to a three-alarm fire around half an hour after it was first reported.

The department revealed one firefighter has been taken to the hospital with minor injuries. No other reports of injury have so far been made.

Morgan Amplifiers posted a statement about the fire on Instagram, writing: “My prayers are with my family at Boutique Amps.

“I am not sure how much damage was done to the manufacturing side of the shop but hopefully we will have a better understanding of the damage today.”
