Gibson’s Cesar Gueikian has teased a new version of Richie Faulkner’s signature flying V model in a new post on Instagram.
Faulkner, the guitarist for Judas Priest, already has a signature Flying V model with Epiphone, however, it has been discontinued. The Gibson prototype Guikian posted on Instagram looks to sport a lot of the same features as this model – namely, two humbuckers, a Floyd Rose-style tremolo and locking nut, a single volume knob and a symmetrical pickguard.

It also keeps the falcon inlay at the 12th fret (inspired by Rob Halford’s nickname for Faulkner, taken from the root of his second name), but moves the Judas Priest Logo to the truss rod cover rather than the face of the headstock.
As for any changes in terms of specific electronics or construction points, we’ll have to wait until the guitar progresses beyond the prototype phase.
