D’Addario has launched the Pedal Tuner Plus, an upgraded version of its Pedal Tuner.

The chromatic tuner pedal tuner has the same high-brightness display and 32-bit processor as its predecessor, but now sports two new features. The first is a programmable countdown timer. This allows you to keep track of your set– program an amount of time in, and it will let you know when your slot is up.

The second added feature is an on-board buffer, which compensates for signal loss across long cable runs. D’Addario notes that the original true-bypass tuner unit is still available if you’d rather not have a buffer on your ‘board. However, if you’re not averse to moving your tuner further down your signal chain, you could also put the Pedal Tuner Plus after any pedals that are particularly picky when it comes to impedance, such as fuzz or volume pedals.

D’Addario Pedal Tuner Plus is available now for £118. Find out more at daddario.com. For more gear news, click here.
