Dean Guitars has launched the Edge Pro Select range of bass guitars, premium basses that offer a number of configurations – coming in four, five and six-string versions.

The basses in the range sport a body made from swamp ash, with either walnut or burled poplar sides – both options coming in natural satin finishes. The models in the range are all fitted with a bolt-on, five-piece maple and walnut neck. The scale-length depends on the number of strings – the four- and five-string models have a 34-inch scale length, while the six-string model retains tension and intonation with a 35-inch scale length.

The electronics loadout varies between the walnut and the burled poplar models. Walnut Edge Select basses are loaded with two DMT (Dean Magnetic Technologies) Design Passive Soapbar pickups, while the Burled Poplar top models feature Fishman Fluence PRF BS pickups. The latter of these offers a split mode as well as a P or J mode with three voice options each.

The basses are available to order now, starting at $729. Find out more over at deanguitars.com. For more gear news, click here.
