EarthQuaker Devices is finally reissuing the notoriously hard-to-find White Light overdrive pedal, but for a limited time only.

It was proven a favourite by guitarists, as it was famously sparse on the pedal market with limited yet expensive units available on third-party sites such as Reverb.com. This limited run of 2,000 units contains the same White Light circuitry as the original, but in the now standard-size enclosure, with top mounted jacks and Flexi-Switch Technology.

According to the manufacturer, the pedal takes inspiration from the OD 250 circuit, which was refreshed last month in a bid to revive DOD after the company was purchased by Cor-Tek.

However, there are big differences between the pair, such as the weight control allowing players to adjust the saturation and low end, proving ample tonal shaping options.

As well as this, EarthQuaker boasts “total control” over the feel and voice of the dirt, with Gain control to adjust the sound from clean to crunchy overdrive. There is also a compression switch which so players can fine tune the distortion and choose between more highs and mids, or a flatter mid response.

EarthQuaker Devices has re-released a demo video showing off the pedal, which you can watch below:
