Epiphone, George Thorogood collaborate on venomous signature model

The ES-125TDC ‘White Fang’ is modelled after the blues icon’s well-worn ES-125.

Epiphone has joined forces with George Thorogood on a limited-edition ES-125TDC model. Dubbed ‘White Fang’, this hollow-body archtop takes its cues from the blues maestro’s late-50s, two-pickup ES-125.

White Fang is loaded with two Epiphone P-90 Pro single-coils, which are intended to recreate the tone of Seth Lover’s first-gen P-90s. The two pups are wired to four controls: neck volume, neck tone, bridge volume and bridge tone.

Elsewhere, the ES-125TDC features a laminated maple hollow-body complemented by a mahogany set-neck in a custom shape inspired by Thorogood’s original ES-125. Rounding out the tonewoods is a 12-inch-radius pau ferro fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays.

Thorogood’s new Epiphone is anchored by a pau ferro floating bridge and a Traditional ‘Diamond’ Trapeze Tailpiece. This axe arrives in a Bone White finish adorned with a removable cobra sticker, which is a replica of the decal found on the Bad To The Bone singer’s own guitar. Nickel hardware along with gold top hat knobs complete this hollow-body archtop’s stunning look.
