Ernie Ball Music Man has announced an all-new 2020 line of John Petrucci signature guitars: the Majesty, JP15 and JP Maple Top.

The Majesty guitar features a flamed maple shield, seated in an okoume body finished with a translucent gloss. It’s loaded with Petrucci’s signature DiMarzios, the Dreamcatcher in the bridge and the Rainmaker in the neck. These are combined with an onboard piezo bridge system, meaning there’s quite the palette of tones on offer.

The base Majesty model comes in four new finishes: Pink Sand, Red Phoenix, Smoked Pearl, and Ember Glow, all starting at $2999.

There’s also a special edition of the Majesty, the Purple Nebula Majesty. It comes with some premium wood choices, such as a three-piece neck constructed with two strips of Honduran mahogany and a center strip of flamed maple, visible through a translucent burst finish. The body comes with a carved and highly-figured quilted maple top, over alder sides and a neck-through center of mahogany and maple. The electronics are the same as the base edition. The Purple Nebula Majesty is available as either a 6-string or 7-string, and with a run of only 200 guitars worldwide, each comes with a backplate signed by John Petrucci, and a numbered certificate of authenticity.

The Purple Nebula Majesty lists for $5299.00.

The 2020 JP15 comes with a lightweight okoume body, a figured maple top and a figured roasted maple neck and fingerboard for some extra snap. It comes loaded with two custom DiMarzio Illuminator pickups, a piezo bridge system and an on-board 20db of boost to immediately drive an amp hard. Other features include an Ernie Ball Music Man JP tremolo, 3-way toggle pickup selector, and the choice between a 6- 7-string configuration.

The 2020 JP15 lists for $3249.

The JP Maple Top carries on the trend of carefully-selected woods, featuring an alder border, a mahogany tone block and of course the figured maple top that gives the model its name. A Honduran mahogany neck comes topped with an East Indian rosewood fingerboard. It comes fitted with DiMarzio Liquifire and DiMarzio Crunch Lab pickups, as well as a piezo bridge system. A coil-splitting tone pot lets you wring some extra versatility out of the guitar, which comes as either a 6- or 7-string.

The 2020 JP Maple Top lists for $3249.

John Petrucci said of the new models: “I am extremely proud and very excited to introduce the new Majesty and JP15 colors for 2020! Every year the incredibly talented team over at Ernie Ball Music Man dream up the most unique and stunning finishes that take my signature guitars to new artistic heights. The sleek, performance-centric design of the Majesty and the unrelenting powerhouse attitude of the JP15, both outfitted with my signature DiMarzio pickups, make them two models that are so creatively inspiring that I just can’t put them down once I start playing them! From the visionary lines to the incredible feel, beautiful surfaces and epic tones, they are the ultimate musical machines one can ever dream of experiencing. These brand-new 2020 colors and finishes will continue to propel the Majesty and the JP15 far into the guitar universe for years to come!”
