Ernie Ball Music Man’s latest signature model for St Vincent, nicknamed Goldie, is now available for purchase.

The guitar is a reimagining of St Vincent’s signature Ernie Ball Music Man model and notably features a custom-designed gold-foil mini humbucker pickups, routed to a five-way switching system for loads of tonal variety.

The guitar features an Okoume body construction, and roasted figured maple neck with a reverse headstock. Depending on the finish, it comes with either a rosewood or ebony fingerboard with 22 high-profile stainless steel and custom inlays reflecting the eclectic artist’s style.

There are three colour options: Cashmere, Silk Charmeuse and Velveteen. Each also has a three-ply parchment pickguard located under the pickups to reflect the stylings of retro guitars.

The signature model was first shown off during St Vincent’s performance on the 3 April episode of Saturday Night Live, where she performed the tune The Melting Of The Sun from her latest album, Daddy’s Home, which came out 14 May.

In Guitar.com’s 8/10 review of Daddy’s Home, we noted it’s “not a record for ostentatious guitar moments, but the brooding 70s mood of Daddy’s Home gives [St Vincent] the space to create her most organic and carefree guitar album yet.”
