Ernie Ball Music Man has unveiled their latest premium electric guitar model, the Sabre. This model brings together the brand’s primo electronics and hardware, along with some interesting wood choices that make it strike visually.

The Sabre combines a lightweight Okoume body with an exquisite thick carved maple top – embellished with a natural binding to shows off its figured maple wood grain.

The Sabre’s neck has been designed to offer comfort and playability – pairing an eye-catching, 22-fret roasted figured maple neck with a fingerboard of either rosewood, ebony or maple. Its slim C profile is matched with a slightly wider-than-usual nut that gives each string just a touch more space.

In terms of pickups, the Sabre comes equipped with a pair of custom wound in-house humbuckers that emphasise dynamics, clarity and sustain. The bridge humbucker sports Alnico 5 magnets – known for their warm and rounded output, while the neck pickup employs the tighter, more cool-headed Ceramic 6 magnets.

The Sabre’s tremolo system looks classic – with its crescent cover and vintage steel saddles – but packs modern design features that make it play extra smoothly.

Five distinct high gloss polyester finishes are available for the Sabre, each with a complementary fingerboard. These finishes are: Honey Suckle, Bougie Burst, Deep Blue Burst and Cobra Burst.

The Sabre is available for purchase now, listing at $3199.
