Fender has massively expanded its lineup of artist signatures for 2021, introducing new models in collaboration with Ben Gibbard, Chrissie Hynde, Mike McCready, Joe Strummer, Dhani Harrison and Jason Isbell.

Ben Gibbard Mustang

Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard’s new signature Mustang comes finished in natural, with a black pickguard and chrome hardware. It recreates the approach of Gibbard’s own heavily-modified ’70s Mustangs that he uses as touring workhorses, as well as adding a few new modern features. The guitar features a chambered ash body, as well as a pair of vintage-voiced Ben Gibbard Mustang pickups and a modified hardtail bridge.

The guitar lists for $1,099.99 / £599 / €699.

Chrissie Hynde Telecaster

The Pretender’s Chrissie Hynde’s new signature Telecaster comes finished in Faded Ice Blue Metallic Road Worn lacquer, with a matching worn pickguard. The pickups are a set of vintage-style ‘50s single-coil Tele pickups voiced to match Chrissie’s original set, while the bridge is a 6-stainless steel barrel saddle Telecaster bridge.

The guitar lists for $1,399.99 / £879.00 / €1,009.

Mike McCready Stratocaster

Mike McCready, while he’s known for his work in Pearl Jam, is also known for playing a ’59 Stratocaster. Based on the ’59 unit he purchased 28 years ago, this signature model comes in an extremely heavily relic’d lacquer finish, and being a Custom Shop Master Built model, is limited to only 60 pieces.

The guitar lists for $15,000.

Joe Strummer Campfire

This acoustic model was “inspired by the legendary campfires that [Joe Strummer] held at Glastonbury Festival and are now continued annually in the Strummerville area at the festival.” The small body is made of a spruce top with mahogany back and sides, with a  matte black finish, nickel hardware and star inlays.

The guitar lists for $499.99 /£429 / €499.

Dhani Harrison Ukulele

This signature Ukulele comes in two finishes: Sapphire Blue and Turquoise, each with its own custom inlay and engraving on the back of the body. It sports ovangkol top, back and sides, as well as a set of upgraded Fender electronics – meaning it’s beyond ready to take on some live performances.

The ukulele lists for $279.99 /£229 / €259.

Jason Isbell Telecaster

This Chocolate Sunburst-finished Road Worn telecaster comes with traditional Telecaster specs, such as a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard, a pair of vintage-voiced single-coils and a mid-’60s C-shaped neck.

The guitar lists for $1,499.99 / £1,249 / €1,439.
