Acoustic guitar builder Furch Guitars has announced that it will open its doors to a virtual factory tour this Thursday.

The tour will be broadcast live on the brand’s Facebook page, and explore the facility where the guitars are assembled – taking a look at each step in a guitars’ production, and showcasing some of Furch’s own innovations on their models.

CEO Petr Furch, who is also the son of the brand’s founder, will host the tour, and also take a Q&A as part of the broadcast.

The brand itself has a storied history, having been established in the ‘70s and ‘80s in Czechoslovakia. At the time, private enterprise was illegal but founder František Furch defied authorities, taking commissions from musicians to build guitars.

When the Velvet Revolution of 1989 brought down communism in Czechoslovakia, Furch was free to expand even further, with František designing most of the tools and machines that would be installed in its new factory.

The broadcast will take place on 9 April 9th, at 1 PM Central European Summer Time here.
