Gibson’s CMO, Cesar Gueikian, has shared the first look at what its newly created Murphy Lab is up to.

Announced at the end of last year, the Murphy lab is a special diversion of the Gibson Custom Shop, named for ‘Master Artisan’ Tom Murphy. Murphy is well-renowned for his experience in ageing Gibson guitars.

Cesar’s post on Instagram, below, gives us the first insight as to the first results of some prototype aged guitars. Take a look below:

Writing about the photos, Cesar said: “We’re working on some #epic stuff #prototype at the Murphy Lab – Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection.”

More details on when the fruits of the Murphy Lab’s work might be available to order are yet to be revealed.
