Gibson has released the Sheryl Crow Country Western Supreme, a signature guitar that’s also a reissue of the 1962 original Gibson Country Western acoustic guitar.

Announced at Summer NAMM earlier this year, the guitar comes on the back of the release of Crow’s 10th album, Threads.

The model comes with the distinctive pickguard design and parallelogram inlays of Crow’s 1962 original. However, the tone and construction have undergone a modern makeover. Gibson’s 1930s advanced bracing pattern is touted to add punch to the original voice, while an analogue Amulet M pickup is designed to recreate the sound of the instrument when amplified.

A thermal-aged Sitka spruce top opens up the dynamic range of the instrument, and provides increased projection when unplugged. The model also sports a mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard and an Antique Cherry finish.

Each guitar is hand signed by Crow, and comes with a Gibson certificate of authenticity.
